If you are thinking of organizing a wedding in spring, the most important word to remember is light. Simply because this is the time of year when garments are worn lightly, light food is served and generally, there is more daylight in everyone’s daily lives as compared to the dark days of winter.

The bride would be relieved to know that she can choose and design a wedding gown that is made from lace or cotton as these are lighter material which are more comfortable. She is advised to keep away from silk and other heavy material that is known to be not that suitable for the season. However, if she has loved satin all her life and would like her wedding gown to be made from it, she could always select light satin material that would be easy to don.

Garden and Spring Wedding Favors

Have you ever attended a wedding in the spring time? If you have then surely you know just how creative some decorations can become for these events. Sometimes they are held outside where all of the beautiful flowers are just coming into bloom and the birds are chirping. This is because spring represents romance as well as the renewal of life. When two people get married that is just what they do, they begin a new life with their spouses.

As with any other type of wedding, spring time weddings mean having to choose wedding favors. Some people chose traditional spring wedding favors while others decide to go with garden wedding favors. Sometimes people even combine the two. I can even remember one wedding that I attended, where the happy couple used little glass bowls with two goldfish each in them as table centerpieces. After the wedding party was over guess what they gave out as wedding favors. Yup you guessed it; everyone received a pet goldfish as a party favor.

There is certainly some magic and romance about the way in which nature comes to life with a showcase of lovely flowers at this time of year.
